Q&A: Need Help Viewing Your Online Statement?

August 19, 2010 by Seth Doria, Senior Communications Analyst, CitiMortgage

Category: CitiMortgage,Online Servicing,Seth Doria,Statements

We received the below comment from reader Alice and thought the response would be good information to put out there for everybody.

Alice's request: "I need help signing on to view my mortgage statement. I am registered with a username and password."

Answer: Hi Alice. Thanks for the question. In order to view your mortgage statement, you need to not only sign in to citimortgage.com, but also make sure that your mortgage account is linked to your profile.

To determine if your mortgage is linked to your profile, look at the main navigation once you log in using your user name and password. Users that have a mortgage linked to their profile have the following in the main navigation: Home | My Mortgage Summary | Buying a Home | Refinancing a Home | Homeowner Assistance

Users that do not have a mortgage linked to their profile have the following: Home | Buying a Home | Refinancing a Home | Apply | Help

Alice, in your case we were able to determine that you have not yet linked your mortgage to your profile. To get this done, first sign in, then follow the below steps:

1. From the main navigation bar, go to the Home tab.

2. On the right side, above Announcements, is "Link or remove a CitiMortgage account or application." Click on this link.

3. Enter your Date of Birth and the last 6 digits of your Social Security Number.

4. Select CitiMortgage Account

5. Enter your account number, property state, and zip code.

6. Click Continue

If the information that you provide matches what we have in our records, you will receive confirmation that the linking is successful.

Once your mortgage account is linked to your profile, you should see the following navigation after you have signed in: Home | My Mortgage Summary | Buying a Home | Refinancing a Home | Homeowner Assistance.

On the Home page, you should see a My Mortgage section that gives you a summary of your mortgage account. And from that summary section, you can access your mortgage statements.

We hope that helps. Thanks again Alice for the comment.

I would like to link my account so that I can make online payments. I have enrolled and created a login and password, which does work. But when I select "Link or remove a CitiMortgage account or application" I get a failure notice saying that my information does not match what is in your files. Can someone help me fix this so I can sign in and make online monthly payments? Thank you!

Warning do not support citi. October of 2010 i fell behind two months on my mortgage. I tried to make a full payment to them with any fee's or late charges due to bring account current. I was told that they didnt want my money and that i needed to be on a special payment plan. They said they would get back to me on this. Over a year later after faxing all the required paperwork they requested over 12 times because they cant keep people working for them i was told today that i was denied the modification that i never asked for in the first place. My house will be sold at sheriff sale the 8th of December 2011. I promised them that i would not let this go and that i will contact every major news source every webpage. Check out http://www.citimortgagesucks.net/. There is a class action suit being brought against them for what they have done to thousands of homeowner across the country ! Here is the firm handling it http://cases.milberg.com/citimortgage./ Dont support the big banks that are destroying our country !!

Citi wanting to help people, what a lie!!!! We were contacted by CitiMortgage in October of 2009 to see if we were interested in a lower monthly payment (who wouldn't be?). Asked if we have experienced any financial hardships and the answer was yes due to a decrease in my husbands income as a result of the declining economy. In spite of the income hardship we were never behind on any of our bills, including our mortgage, we were just struggling a little, nothing we couldn't handle. After a phone interview, the CM rep congratulated us on being pre-approved under HAMP, gave us details as to what they needed from us to complete the modification and what our new monthly payment would be during the next 3 months. 3 months turned into 19 months and now our home is in foreclosure.

I have been using the online statement management for a while now and just learned that I can link my 2 mortgages onto one sign on page. I have 2 sign on pages now one for each mortgage. Now how do I erase one of the sign on pages or both and start all over?

Reply to this comment by Deborah Prioriello on 09/23/2010

Deborah, there's no need to start all over! Since you're looking to access both your accounts with a single sign on, simply sign in to citimortgage.com using one of your existing username/password combinations. Once you sign in, select >>Link or remove a CitiMortgage account or application. You will be prompted with additional questions to complete the linking of your accounts. Please let us know if you have any issues with the process.
