However, no one can seem to come up with anything. The local people here have no information on this house. I would at lease expect a counter offer. This house has been empty for nearly 2 years now. If there is someone that can give me info on this property please let me know. I would like to talk to someone authorized to make a deal on this house. It is not listed on thier property list but the courthouse list citibank as the property owner.

Furthurmore, the home has an incredibalbe amount of Mold damage that if it sits for another couple months the home will have to be Condemned by the local City. I can give all of the details of the mold damage and how it has made the house unstructurly unhabitable already.

Trying to see if I can get some to contact me about the home so not only does Citi lose more money on this home as it has already. If the property is Condemned that may be a major loss. I would like to work with Citi to take the property off the banks hands. Please contact me.

OK, Here is my situation. I put short sale offer on a home financed by Citi back in Nov of 2010. It was accepted by the homeowner. I dont know the details after that, but my offer was never reviewed by Citi. I assume it was too late to avert the foreclosure process. After months of waiting, a judgement was filed and the home was set for auction. I was prepared to buy the home at auction. My hopes for the short sale were raised only week before the auction when the homeowner emailed that she had success in gettting the auction canceled and the short sale would move forward. Unfortunately that did not happen and the auction proceeded just this past Monday. I was prepared to bid on the home and make a cash purchase, but unfortunately the minimum bid that was so high above the judgement that it insured that no one but the plaintiff (Citi) would win the auction. I've watched auctions for months, but have never seen a bank bid so high above the assesment and judgement. I don't understand the logic, but I still hope and willing to purchase the home from Citi if I could only get through to someone. Please forward my email to anyone at Citi interested in averting the trouble of maintaining an empty house and putting a house on the market, sharing commission with a realtor.

Sharmaine, thank you for your interest. We were unable to locate this address in our REO inventory. In some cases Citi services loans for other companies through the foreclosure process, but once the foreclosure sale is complete the other companies take the REO back to market the property themselves. For a listing of our current REO properties go to www.citimortgage.com and select the CitiMortgage Properties for Sale link. This will redirect you to our search engine where you can find properties we have available. The direct link is: https://citimortgage.res.net/

Carolyn, I, too, am interested in a particular REO that has not yet been listed on MLS. I know that it is an REO because a sign has been put up by the realty group hired by CitiBank and saw that it was unsuccessful at its foreclosure auction. A lockbox has also shown up on the door, but the house is still not on the market. I've been told by the listing agent that the property has just recently been vacated by the previous tenants, but I'm wondering if the sign in the yard and lockbox is any indication that it will come on the market soon. I'm also told by the listing agent that they are awaiting further instruction from CitiMortgage before moving ahead with possible repairs to the house and determination of the listing price. Is there anybody I can contact about this particular property to find out its exact status with Citi? I am very interested in the house and have stopped looking at other properties in hopes that this will come on the market soon. Thanks for your help. Sharmaine

Alfred, thank you for your interest. I apologize that you have had difficulty getting in touch with someone. I sent your information to someone what can help you. In the meantime, you can find a listing of available CitiMortgage-owned properties and agent contact information on our website at www.citimortgage.com. Select the CitiMortgage Properties for Sale link, which will redirect you to our search engine where you can find properties we have available. The direct link to that search engine in case you would like to just copy and paste the link into the address field in your browser is: https://citimortgage.res.net/

Please keep in mind that if CitiMortgage did not own the loan and was just servicing it for an investor, that we may no longer have control of the property. Accordingly, we would not be the party listing the property for sale. Another reason a property may not be listed is that we are awaiting the Deed from the Sheriff following the foreclosure sale, which can take 60-90 days and it can also take an additional 45-60 to begin marketing the property. Please continue to check back on the site for the latest property listings.
