Thank you for your post. I'm sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience with our hardship assistance programs. I forwarded your information to someone that can assist you, and understand someone has been in contact with you directly to talk through the situation. Without getting into the specifics of your account, the process of getting a modification isn't always as simple as you might think. Some mortgage loans have investor requirements, such as the loan must be delinquent, or facing imminent default, before it is eligible for a modification. A wide variety of factors must be considered for any type of modification. While all borrowers do not qualify for the Administration's HAM program, Citi has developed a variety of alternative programs designed to help troubled homeowners. We continually work to improve our processes and greatly appreciate your taking the time to let us know about your experience.

Road to recovery, I can't disagree more. We applied in good faith back in November 2008 and CitiMortgage responded with an offer to help us. You placed us in a forbearance plan and then on to the HAMP. CitiMortgage never informed us that participation would result in us incurring delinquency on our credit report. We had worked hard to maintain an excellent credit history without negative comments or events up to and including November 2008. None of the agreements mentions that participation would result in delinquency. If they would have, we wouldn't have gone along with them. And why would you consider the modified payments late to credit bureaus, if you weren't charging us late fees. Citi did not charged or assess late charges to us for making the modified payments under the programs. So we had no knowledge that we were in fact being reported late to credit bureaus. Not being charged late fees had straightened our belief in what CitiMortgage told us about not being reported delinquent. And as for the HAMP, the income docs that you used to qualify us for that program were the same income that you used to disqualify us. How can you come up with a lower modified payment using our paycheck stubs then turn around 9 months later and say we don't qualify to even be on the program, because our income was too high. This was a waste of everyone's time. If you not going to help than you should be making offers. CitiMortgage's road to recovery has left us unable to refinance our home because of the derogatory late(s) reported. Our family has been left in a worst financial position than before asking for help from Citi. Sanjiv Das and his team should be ashamed of the devastation they are leaving behind on this road to DESTRUCTION!

Hello Ms. Marshall. I am a home buyer in Franklin Indiana. I have an offer that I have provided to a listing agent, but my agent is having a lot of difficulty getting information from the listing agent. I simply want to be sure that it is known that there are multiple offers on the property so CitiMortgage can make the best decision regarding the property. I would like to provide the property information to ensure that CitiMortgage gets the information if that would help. Please let me know if I can provide the property information for the specific property.
