Citi and National Council of La Raza are hosting a homeowner assistance event for distressed homeowners on Friday, June 10.
The event is free and open to the general public. Here are the details:
When: Noon to 7:00 p.m.

What you can expect ...
CitiMortgage client assistance representatives will be available to consult with homeowners having difficulty making their mortgage payments or facing potential foreclosure to determine what solutions may be open to them. Homeowners whose loans are serviced by other mortgage companies will be able to consult with counselors from National Council of La Raza on the same topics. Educational presentations will be featured throughout the event on topics including: how the mortgage modification process works; the various assistance programs available to borrowers; and potential alternatives to foreclosure when the homeowner is no longer able or does not wish to remain in the home. This is great that you are holding an event. However I find that the public image is very misleading. I've been trying to get my mortgage modification straightened out with Citibank since January 2011. I initially had one contact for this and now I can't reach that person. My mortgage has yet to be modified and it is now June. I've even tried Fannie Mae. How are you helping homeowners keep their home? Please tell me. Perhaps it is different in every state. I'm in New York and I'd love to have an advocate here. Its been very frustrating.

I need contact information for your mortgage group. You own an adjecent property to ours, and we need someone to clean it up. Previous owners left refuse strewn all around the property when they were foreclosed. People come to cut the grass, but the trash is still in place. Contact me ASAP.
