John P. Carey, Chief Administrative Officer, North America Consumer Banking on the Dodd-Frank Act and you: What you need to know to navigate the world of financial reform.

July 21, 2011 by carolyn marshall, CitiMortgage

Category: Dodd-Frank,Financial Reform

The financial services industry has entered an era of significant change, driven in part by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. While many of these changes are intended to provide greater clarity, choice, and control for clients over their financial lives, we also realize that the pace and complexity of change may seem difficult to navigate. That's why we're using this and future blog posts on new.citi.com to create a conversation--to help you learn more about some of the basics of the Dodd-Frank Act, to better understand the changes it will bring, and to hear your questions and concerns.

Over time, we hope to engage you as new information becomes available and we continue to meet the requirements and spirit of the Dodd-Frank Act. We plan to use this ongoing conversation to cover the issues of greatest interest and concern to you. For example, our next blog post will focus on the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and its efforts to simplify home loan disclosures.

We hope you will make this your site. What are your questions concerning the new rules? Are we presenting the information in a way that is useful and helps you understand the changes to the rules? Are we helping you to understand how these changes may affect the products and services that we provide to you? You can comment below on these and other Dodd-Frank Act topics or, if you have specific questions about your account(s), contact us directly at the number on your card or statement.

Thank you for banking with us or, if you're not a client, thanks for visiting our site and for your interest in Citi. We hope you find this and future posts informative and helpful, and that you'll consider doing business with us sometime soon.
