Road to Recovery Series arrives in Portland This Week

 

Citi is hosting a homeowner assistance event for distressed homeowners on Wednesday, September 14.

 

The event is free! Here are the details:

 

When:     Noon to 7:00 p.m.

                                      

Where:    Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown

               1441 NE 2nd Avenue

               Portland, OR 97232

 

What you can expect ...

 

CitiMortgage client assistance representatives will be available to consult with homeowners having difficulty making their mortgage payments or facing potential foreclosure to determine what solutions may be open to them.

 

Educational presentations will be featured throughout the event on topics including: how the mortgage modification process works; the various assistance programs available to borrowers; and potential alternatives to foreclosure when the homeowner is no longer able or does not wish to remain in the home. ]]> 2011-10-26T19:58:00Z tag:blog.citimortgage.com,2011://1.645-comment:4221 Comment from Thomas Sokolewicz on 2011-09-14 Thomas Sokolewicz I have a huge problem with this...Citi is trying to help all these folks who have various issues with their mortgages, yet it will not refinance an 11 year Citi employee, who was sold a 10 year interest only loan, who simply wants to convert it to a fixed interest product. Citi had no problem selling me the original loan, so why won't it let me take advantage of the current interest rates? Is it my fault I can afford to make my payments? Is it my fault I cannot produce some sort of hardship that would qualify me for assistance? So what if the value of the house is well below the market value. Why can't Citi do what is right????????
