Citi is hosting a homeowner assistance event for distressed homeowners on Tuesday, November 1.

The event is free! Here are the details:

When: Noon to 7:00 p.m.

What you can expect ...

CitiMortgage client assistance representatives will be available to consult with homeowners having difficulty making their mortgage payments or facing potential foreclosure to determine what solutions may be open to them.

Come out to the DoubleTree Hotel Tampa Airport - Westshore and meet one-on-one with a representative to learn about the various solutions that may be available. Click here to see a list of items you should bring if you wish to meet with someone regarding potential solutions.

Margie, thank you for the post. I've forwarded your information to one of our Homeowner Support Specialists so they can contact you directly at the email you provided. I appreciate your point of view. We strive to do all we can to keep homeowners in their homes, but that is not always possible. The approval of a modification is not always up to us. If the loan is owned by an investor, the modification request must be approved by that investor. Someone should be in touch with you soon, if they haven't already.

WE HAD TRIED TO MODIFY OUR HOME WITH CITI, BUT THEY ONLY LOWER IT BY $ 3.00. SO NOW WE ARE LIVING IN A APARTMENT FOR 2 MONTHS AND HAVE THE HOUSE UP NOW FOR SHORT SALE. EVEN THOUGHT CITI SAID WE WOULD NOT LOSE IT. THEY SAID THEY WOULD MODIFY IT SO WE CAN LIVE THERE, WE ARE 65 YRS OLD AND NOW WE ARE APARTMENT DEWELLERS.

WE ARE PLANING TO BUY A HOME IN 2 YRS. A HOME WE CAN AFFORD AND NOT WITH CITI.
