On December 16, 2011 CitiMortgage launched a new website, HomeownerSupport.com, to help struggling homeowners understand their options.
HomeownerSupport.com was created to provide homeowners with answers to the question "what can I do if I'm having trouble paying my mortgage?". Homeowners can visit the site to learn about various options that may be available, including refinancing, payment plans, loan modifications, and other alternatives to foreclosure.
In addition, the site includes various forums where you can ask questions, share your experiences with others, and offer advice. This will enable you to connect with others who are going--or have gone--through the same challenges you may be facing.
We invite you to visit HomeownerSupport.com and join the conversation.

Ronald, I've forwarded your request to Customer Service. Did you know you could download your 1098 online if you are registered for web access? If you already have online access, login to your account and select "view statements." The link for the 1098 Year End Statement will be displayed in the center of the page. Do a left click to open and save the file to your computer.

I currently have a mortgage by CitiMortgage. It is a 15 year loan at 5.6%. I am thinking of refinancing to get a lower rate but keep my loan at 15 years or lower. I would like to remain with CitiMortgage to expedite the process. Since I am already a mortgage holder with you, would I have to get another appraisal for my home? Thank you, George

I have an account with Citimortgage, and I was laid off from my job a few months ago. I am trying to go to the Homeowners Assistance Team portion of your website, but it keeps sending me to something called HARP. I want to keep my account current; all I want to do is get in touch with a counselor to get the process started. Thank you for your time, and any assistance you can provide.

It would be a good idea to give your customer service agents the ability to see all the details regarding an account. I trieds to get a modification. All the reps I spoke to assured me it should not be a problem. After months of sending the needed documenst and waiting...I was told that he firm that underwrote my mortgage does not allow modifications. Also during this long and drawn out process no one at Citi bothered to tell me that foreclosure proceedings were going to be initiated. I did not know this until I received court documents in the mail (which was before Citi told me I was not eligible for a mof\dification)....Very poor busines practices.

Hi, I have a 30 yrs fixed mortgage with your company for my condo in Downtown Chicago. Last year I've asked to help to pay monthly payments by reducing my interest from 6.375% to what ever was the interest at that time (which I believe was around 4%). The only modification I've got is to incorporate my real estate tax into the mortgage, no interest reduction, which increased my monthly payments even more because now I have to keep two moths escrow. And when I was calling and asked why it was done that way, or how Citi can help, I was told by numerous people, including some managers that, nothing could be done because I've signed the modification (although I was explaining that I sign it under duress). I even wrote the letter to Mr. Sanjiv,Dias sent it register mail, but nobody ever got back to me. I am paying my monthly payments, but it is very difficult and not fare that I cannot get the mortgage reduction, like other people getting today. And the answer I am getting from the Citi, that it is too bad, but I CANNOT be helped by them. Please advise if anything can be done to help me to reduce my monthly payments by reducing the interest rate. I really do not want to sell my Condo and loose money on the sale. Thank you in advance.
