In August 2011, CitiMortgage launched the new Homeowner Support Team to provide a single point of contact for borrowers to work with throughout the foreclosure alternative process.   ‪When a borrower contacts CitiMortgage for help to stay current on their mortgage, we immediately review potential options and connect the customer with a knowledgeable Homeowner Support Specialist who will work directly with the borrower via telephone and email. CitiMortgage customers who paid interest on their mortgage loan during the 2011 tax year should have received a year-end statement, also known as IRS Form 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement, in their Mortgage Account Statement or in a separate mailing by January 31.   Customers who have registered for online account maintenance may also access their year end statement and information from the CitiMortgage website.
